ILT was founded in 1995 by music-lawyer Oliver Macchi as a sole business. Macchi is 39 years of age and has been active in the music business for over 20 years. He gained his know-how as a local concert promoter, manager of various national acts (including CORONER; 6 albums; up to 100,000 album sales, various US and European tours; NATACHA (Swiss platinum act), LOU GENIUZ) and even back in the days when he was still a student he represented a number of German music companies in Switzerland. At the end of his student days, the subject of Macchi's thesis was "Sampling - a legal assessment", so even then he was stretching the scope of his legal work to involve music.
